A family name on every roof.
MCB Roofing Glasgow Ltd was built on a simple idea: treat every roof like it's above your own family's head. Three decades later, that's still the whole business plan.
Started on a ladder in Glasgow. Never left.
Richard McBeth started roofing in the early 1990s, learning the trade the traditional way — apprenticed to slaters working on the Victorian and Edwardian rooftops that define Glasgow's skyline. Slate, lead, chimney, and gutter, done by hand, done properly.
What began as one man on a ladder is now a tight family-run outfit covering everything from a single tile repair to complete re-roofs and commercial builds. The name on the sign is still the name on the ladder — and that means every job is personal.
We've stayed small on purpose. It means owner oversight on every job, honest quotes, and workmanship we're proud to put our name on.

If we wouldn't put it on our own house, it doesn't go on yours.
Every material we lay, every fixing we choose, every detail we finish — it all passes one test. Would we be happy for it to be above our own family? If the answer isn't yes, we start again.
